Thank you for visiting our website. We hope that you find it full of informative resources, up to date information, and the latest events regarding autism spectrum disorders in our community.
The Treehouse Inc. was founded in 2004 by Michelle Wenell, CEO and President of Advance Kids. The Treehouse’s mission is to increase community awareness, to compile and disseminate the most up-to-date information regarding multi-disciplinary approaches to treating autism, and to educate parents, professionals, and the community about the characteristics and specific needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The Treehouse’s currently has a lending library that is open to families and professionals affected by autism spectrum disorders, and starting in 2011 we will offer free community trainings in regards to autism spectrum disorders, applied behavior analysis, and early intervention.
As a professional in the field of special education, as well as a mother of a child diagnosed with Autism; I understand the importance of networking with other families, collaborating with professionals, and finding the most up to date research and resources regarding autism spectrum disorders. At the Treehouse Inc. our mission is to increase acceptance, understanding and raise community awareness, by compiling and disseminating the most up to date information regarding autism. We will educate families, professionals, and the community about the characteristics and specific needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders, so that people with autism can feel comfortable and supported in their own communities.
