renee1Renee Lewkowitz, M.A., Executive Director of the Treehouse Inc.

Renee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development as well as a Master of Arts in Special Education from CSUS, Sacramento.  She also possesses her teaching credential in Early Childhood Special Education. Renee has been working with children with developmental disabilities for over a decade; starting out as an in-home tutor for an Applied Behavior Analysis company. She has had experience teaching children from preschool through college, has worked in private, non-public, and public schools, and has worked as a social worker with children with developmental disabilities. Renee currently works as a Behavioral Consultant for Advance Kids, in addition to her time at the Treehouse. Besides being passionate about helping children with disabilities professionally, she also is motivated personally, as she has a daughter with Autism.  Renee volunteers her time by bringing awareness to neurodevelopmental disabilities, and serves as a walk chair for Autism Speaks, Sacramento. Renee’s favorite part about being the Executive Director of The Treehouse is that she can share her experiences with others, and help families by sharing valuable information, resources and educational opportunites with the community.
